Community Navigator – Sickle Cell Disease

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Educate patients and caregivers regarding ATTR-CM and Sickle Cell Disease, including treatment options, support resources, and health and wellness information.

β€’ Provide continuous disease-state awareness and education personalized for each community.

β€’ Allocate efforts between ATTR-CM and SCD, with approximately 85% and 15% focus respectively.

β€’ Connect patients with pertinent local, regional, national, and Pfizer resources.

β€’ Engage with underserved communities to promote equitable access to education and support.

β€’ Collaborate with Key Account Directors, management, brand teams, and cross-functional partners.

β€’ Set objectives, manage intricate projects, and oversee ongoing Business Unit activities.

β€’ Work alongside Healthcare Systems, HCPs/Educators, and advocacy partners.

β€’ Act as a subject matter expert and disseminate knowledge throughout the organization.

β€’ Develop solutions to complex challenges, advocate for innovation, and implement new ideas and processes.

β€’ Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to identify patient needs and customize engagement strategies.

β€’ Provide both in-person and virtual engagement utilizing print and digital resources.

β€’ Present approved educational content at local, regional, and national events.

β€’ Collaborate with internal teams to create patient engagement materials and support resources.

β€’ Share local community insights to enhance materials and resources.

β€’ Organize travel logistics and event materials.

β€’ Direct patients to reimbursement resources as necessary; reimbursement support for Pfizer treatments is not provided.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A B.S. or B.A. degree is required.

β€’ A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.

β€’ Experience with ATTR-CM and/or Sickle Cell Disease is essential.

β€’ Ability to cultivate and sustain disease-state and community knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas.

β€’ Strong prioritization skills across multiple responsibilities.

β€’ Excellent communication, listening, and presentation abilities.

β€’ Capability to work within regulated environments while adhering to compliance guidelines.

β€’ Proven record of broad collaboration with diverse clients and stakeholders.

β€’ Experience in responsible business practices and empathetic communication.

β€’ Experience engaging diverse and underserved patient communities with cultural humility.

β€’ Familiarity with Pfizer and industry compliance guidelines for collaboration with Medical and Access & Reimbursement colleagues.

β€’ Ability to present concise, impactful presentations with integrity and empathy.

β€’ Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and business acumen.

β€’ Willingness to travel up to 50%, including weekends and evenings.

β€’ Clinical background is preferred (RN, APRN, NP, ARNP, ACSW, LCSW, MPH).

β€’ Knowledge of ATTR-CM and/or Sickle Cell Disease, as well as patient/public advocacy.

β€’ Experience with hematology, rare disease, or cardiology patient communities is beneficial.

β€’ This is a remote/field-based role; preferred candidates should reside in specified geographic areas.

β€’ Bilingual proficiency in specific regions is preferred.

β€’ Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. from any employer.

β€’ Permanent work authorization in the United States is required for this position.
