Community Navigator – Sickle Cell Disease

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Educate patients and caregivers regarding ATTR-CM and Sickle Cell Disease, including treatment options, support resources, and health and wellness information.

• Provide continuous disease-state awareness and education personalized for each community.

• Allocate efforts between ATTR-CM and SCD, with approximately 85% and 15% focus respectively.

• Connect patients with pertinent local, regional, national, and Pfizer resources.

• Engage with underserved communities to promote equitable access to education and support.

• Collaborate with Key Account Directors, management, brand teams, and cross-functional partners.

• Set objectives, manage intricate projects, and oversee ongoing Business Unit activities.

• Work alongside Healthcare Systems, HCPs/Educators, and advocacy partners.

• Act as a subject matter expert and disseminate knowledge throughout the organization.

• Develop solutions to complex challenges, advocate for innovation, and implement new ideas and processes.

• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to identify patient needs and customize engagement strategies.

• Provide both in-person and virtual engagement utilizing print and digital resources.

• Present approved educational content at local, regional, and national events.

• Collaborate with internal teams to create patient engagement materials and support resources.

• Share local community insights to enhance materials and resources.

• Organize travel logistics and event materials.

• Direct patients to reimbursement resources as necessary; reimbursement support for Pfizer treatments is not provided.

⛳️ Requirements

• A B.S. or B.A. degree is required.

• A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry.

• Experience with ATTR-CM and/or Sickle Cell Disease is essential.

• Ability to cultivate and sustain disease-state and community knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas.

• Strong prioritization skills across multiple responsibilities.

• Excellent communication, listening, and presentation abilities.

• Capability to work within regulated environments while adhering to compliance guidelines.

• Proven record of broad collaboration with diverse clients and stakeholders.

• Experience in responsible business practices and empathetic communication.

• Experience engaging diverse and underserved patient communities with cultural humility.

• Familiarity with Pfizer and industry compliance guidelines for collaboration with Medical and Access & Reimbursement colleagues.

• Ability to present concise, impactful presentations with integrity and empathy.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and business acumen.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including weekends and evenings.

• Clinical background is preferred (RN, APRN, NP, ARNP, ACSW, LCSW, MPH).

• Knowledge of ATTR-CM and/or Sickle Cell Disease, as well as patient/public advocacy.

• Experience with hematology, rare disease, or cardiology patient communities is beneficial.

• This is a remote/field-based role; preferred candidates should reside in specified geographic areas.

• Bilingual proficiency in specific regions is preferred.

• Candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. from any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required for this position.
