Community Navigator – ATTR-CM, Sickle Cell Disease

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Educate patients and caregivers on ATTR-CM and Sickle Cell Disease, including treatment choices, support resources, and health and wellness information.

• Deliver ongoing education and awareness about these diseases tailored to each community's needs.

• Allocate resources between ATTR-CM and SCD, with an emphasis of approximately 85% on ATTR-CM and 15% on SCD.

• Connect patients with relevant local, regional, national, and Pfizer resources.

• Engage with underserved communities to promote equitable access to education and resources.

• Collaborate with Key Account Directors, management, brand teams, and cross-functional partners.

• Establish objectives, manage intricate projects, and supervise ongoing activities within the Business Unit.

• Work together with healthcare systems, HCPs/educators, and advocacy partners.

• Act as a subject matter expert and disseminate knowledge throughout the organization.

• Create solutions for complex challenges, advocate for innovation, and implement new processes and ideas.

• Provide guidance and educational resources to address patient inquiries and information needs.

• Assist in care navigation and shared decision-making by offering insights into treatment journeys.

• Collaborate with advocacy and support teams, attending events to present approved educational materials.

• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to identify patient needs and customize engagement strategies.

• Provide both in-person and virtual engagement through print and digital resources.

• Build trust and maintain ongoing support for patients.

• Refer patients and caregivers to local health and wellness organizations.

• Comply with regulations and policies while working alongside legal and compliance teams.

• Represent the Community Navigator role and Pfizer's support resources at various events at local, regional, and national levels.

• Share local community insights to shape patient engagement materials and support resources.

• Organize travel and materials for events.


⛳️ Requirements

• A B.S. or B.A. degree is required.

• A minimum of 7–10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or a related industry is necessary.

• Experience with ATTR-CM and/or Sickle Cell Disease is essential.

• Ability to build and sustain knowledge of disease states and communities across multiple therapeutic areas.

• Ability to prioritize effectively amidst concurrent responsibilities.

• Outstanding communication, listening, and presentation skills are required.

• Capability to operate within regulated environments and comply with guidelines.

• Extensive collaboration experience with diverse clients and stakeholders.

• Proven experience in responsible business practices and compassionate communication.

• Experience engaging diverse and underserved patient communities with cultural competence.

• Familiarity with Pfizer and industry compliance standards when working with Medical and Access & Reimbursement teams.

• Ability to deliver concise, impactful presentations with integrity and empathy.

• Strong attention to detail, along with organizational and business acumen.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including weekends and evenings.

• A clinical background is preferred (RN, APRN, NP, ARNP, ACSW, LCSW, MPH).

• Knowledge of ATTR-CM and/or Sickle Cell Disease and patient/public advocacy is advantageous.

• Experience with hematology, rare disease, or cardiology patient communities is preferred.

• Preferred residency in the specified geography.

• Bilingual proficiency in certain areas is preferred.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required.

• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
