This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ Take ownership of and establish the community strategy, encompassing its audience, member benefits, and growth framework.
β’ Create and expand a well-managed home for highly engaged users.
β’ Empower members to organize events and meetups by providing self-service kits.
β’ Collaborate with social, brand, and creative teams to enhance community-generated content.
β’ Foster adoption in new markets through community-driven outreach initiatives.
β’ Collaborate with the growth team on referral and invitation strategies.
β’ Identify and support top-performing creators and advocates.
β’ Supply ongoing user stories to the marketing department.
β’ Act as an internal representative of the community to Product and Engineering teams.
β’ Highlight themes, use cases, requests, and challenges in actionable formats.
β’ Manage community health metrics, including activity levels, retention rates, sentiment analysis, and advocate pipeline.
β’ Ensure effective feedback loops are established between product teams and the community.
β’ Build a self-sustaining community with strong member retention.
β’ Create a desirable power-user or ambassador program linked to product launches.
β’ Facilitate the influence of early testers on the product roadmap.
β’ A genuine and personal interest in this category.
β’ Over 5 years of experience in community management, social media, developer relations, or creator programs.
β’ Proven experience with at least one consumer product at a significant scale.
β’ Demonstrated experience in building at least one ambassador or superuser program from the ground up.
β’ Proficiency in managing an online community beyond manual moderation, including the use of bots, automation, roles, and escalation processes.
β’ Exceptional writing skills with a unique voice.
β’ Ability to gauge the atmosphere and effectively use public humor.
β’ Comfortable working with a community that operates independently.
β’ Capability to transform participation data and qualitative signals into actionable product insights.
β’ Familiarity with metrics that illustrate community-driven growth.
β’ A proven history of building trust as a fundamental aspect of the community experience.
β’ Nice to have: experience in designing early access or beta programs, building international communities, or working with a product centered around a character or distinct persona.
