This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and shape the community strategy, focusing on target audience, member benefits, and growth framework.

• Create and manage a scalable platform for highly engaged users.

• Empower members to organize events and meetups using self-service kits.

• Collaborate with social, branding, and creative teams to enhance community-generated content.

• Promote adoption in new markets through community-driven outreach initiatives.

• Work closely with the growth team on referral and invitation strategies.

• Identify and nurture high-impact creators and advocates.

• Provide marketing with continuous authentic user testimonials.

• Serve as the community's representative internally by communicating themes, use cases, requests, and challenges to Product and Engineering teams.

• Manage community health metrics, including engagement, retention, sentiment, and advocate pipeline.

• Create effective feedback mechanisms between the product team and the community.

• Foster a self-sustaining community with a robust ambassador program, roadmap-influencing early testers, strong referral networks, and real-time product insights.


⛳️ Requirements

• Authentic, personal passion for this category.

• Over 5 years of experience in community management, social media, developer relations, or creator programs.

• Proven experience with at least one consumer product at significant scale.

• Demonstrated success in building at least one ambassador or superuser program from the ground up.

• Experience managing an online community beyond simple moderation, incorporating bots, automation, roles, and escalation procedures.

• Exceptional writing skills with a unique voice.

• Ability to gauge audience dynamics and employ humor effectively in public communications.

• Comfort in working with a community that evolves organically.

• Skill in translating participation data and qualitative feedback into actionable product insights.

• Familiarity with metrics that illustrate community-driven growth.

• Proven ability to build trust as a fundamental aspect of the community experience.

• Nice to have: experience in designing early access or beta programs, building communities internationally, or working with a product focused on a character or distinct persona.
