This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage the daily operations of the dbt Slack community.

• Collaborate with community leaders and internal stakeholders to define channel strategy, guidelines, and engagement programs.

• Create and oversee workflows for moderation and support, including the enforcement of the Code of Conduct.

• Mentor, support, recruit, and onboard moderators and community champions.

• Produce announcements, highlights, prompts, and content that tells the community's story.

• Gather community insights and feedback for Product, Marketing, and Support teams, and ensure feedback is communicated back to the community.

• Track and analyze engagement and health metrics, and conduct experiments for improvement.

• Oversee the digital engagement toolset, including Slack workflows, analytics, knowledge bases, integrations, and web portals.

• Coordinate incident response efforts with Legal, People, and Security teams as necessary.

• Promote digital engagement across forums, social media channels, and events.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in digital community management, online engagement, or community program management.

• Proven experience in managing daily operations for a large online community, such as Slack, Discord, or forums.

• Deep understanding of online community dynamics.

• Experience in developing moderation and support workflows, inclusive of Code of Conduct enforcement.

• Exceptional written communication and facilitation skills.

• Familiarity with community tools and analytics, such as Slack workflows and Common Room.

• Ability to make data-informed decisions and report on KPIs.

• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with Product, Marketing, Support, and Developer Experience teams.

• Cultural fluency across different regions and time zones.

• High emotional intelligence with the capability to manage conflict, ambiguity, and sensitive issues.

• Skill in prioritizing multiple workstreams in a dynamic environment.

• Bonus: experience in scaling high-engagement communities, crisis or incident leadership, community-as-a-product operations, and workflow automation.
