📋 Description

• Oversee a vast community (e.g., 1,000+ social media users) on a social platform.

• Establish and uphold the community's atmosphere, facilitating connections and collaboration among members.

• Act as a moderator for daily interactions, responding swiftly to inquiries and escalations while ensuring discussions are collaborative, positive, and adhere to platform guidelines.

• Discover trending conversations and topics that are pertinent to the community.

• Generate and share daily discussion threads as well as weekly content challenges.

• Assist in documenting monthly themes, topics, and events within the community.

• Maintain high energy and encourage participation from a diverse audience.

• Review and approve community messaging across member communications, user-generated content (UGC), and campaigns for compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

• Monitor community platforms for compliance violations, misinformation, or liability risks; implement processes for mitigation, documentation, and escalation.

• Serve as a communication bridge between the organization, community, client teams, and internal legal/compliance partners.

• Translate business goals and legal requirements into safe and compliant engagement strategies.

• Create educational materials, house rules, and community guidelines addressing boundaries, privacy expectations, and disclosure obligations.

• Design and implement long-term community initiatives such as user forums, advisory boards, and advocacy groups.

• Track engagement metrics and community health; collaborate with Media Operations and Legal to assess impact, inform risk posture, and enhance strategies and workflows.

• Stay updated on creators, original sounds, memes, and platform trends; share relevant insights with teams and clients.

• Develop and refine procedures to create more strategic plans and improve workflows.

• Collaborate with Account Management and Media Operations on case studies related to campaigns, trends, and partnerships; assist in crafting content and compliance reports.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in community management, public relations, or digital strategy, preferably within a highly regulated sector; experience in establishing and growing virtual communities.

• Experience in working with creator programs.

• In-depth knowledge of relevant compliance standards, data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and disclosure requirements; familiarity with industry-specific regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FINRA) and UGC moderation best practices.

• Strong capability to anticipate potential PR and legal challenges; demonstrates sound independent judgment under pressure and during crisis or escalation situations.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to simplify complex, highly technical, or legal concepts into engaging and accessible community language.

• Ability to predict messaging needs, take initiative, and meet tight deadlines.

• Ability to comprehend cultural issues and articulate them verbally and in writing across various styles; capable of identifying audience-specific trends, threats, and opportunities on social platforms.

• Passion for compelling storytelling as it relates to Gen Z and Millennial audiences.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from all levels, backgrounds, lived experiences, and perspectives.

• Solid understanding of key performance drivers and the ability to implement findings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
