This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Collaborate with the Community Manager to analyze the market and prioritize impactful messaging.
• Assist in the planning and execution of events, such as parties, local meet-ups, and happy hours.
• Develop and curate social media content that aligns with regional objectives for channel growth and user engagement.
• Aid in the upkeep of Yelp’s local online business listings by flagging inappropriate photos, identifying media alerts and scams, and ensuring business information is accurate.
• Foster the online community by interacting with Yelpers through the app and website.
• Current college student, recent graduate, or someone looking to transition into a community-building role.
• Must reside in San Francisco, CA.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Local expert with a deep understanding of local trends and a passion for small businesses.
• Experience and enthusiasm for planning and coordinating events.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.
• Familiarity with social media copywriting and asset coordination.
• A creative problem solver who comprehends Yelp’s applications.
• Availability to work between 10–19 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend availability.
• Capability to lift 10 pounds without assistance.
• 6-month development program.
• Support from a network of peers across the US and Canada.
• Personalized mentorship from a local Community Manager.
• Practical experience in social media management, event planning, and online community development.
