This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Oversee the communications efforts of PPCA concerning the benefits and viability of the transition from coal to clean energy in Southeast Asia.
• Report directly to the Communications Lead.
• Create and implement comprehensive communication strategies in collaboration with the PPCA Communications Team, the wider PPCA team, and relevant governmental bodies.
• Monitor political and media discussions in Southeast Asia to pinpoint strategic communication opportunities.
• Develop and enhance narratives that address local priorities, concerns, and opportunities.
• Identify regional proof points and case studies, leveraging closed-door PPCA meetings for exclusive insights.
• Generate press releases, press briefings, social media content, op-eds, blogs, and event communications.
• Build and maintain strategic media partnerships, positioning PPCA and its representatives as key resources for regional energy transition.
• Spot media opportunities, pitch stories, provide media assets, and create speaking points for interviews.
• Establish and utilize stakeholder partnerships while amplifying local influential voices.
• Utilize social media to enhance visibility and strengthen connections.
• Plan and coordinate both online and in-person events from inception to completion.
• Represent PPCA at relevant events to elevate the Alliance’s profile.
• Monitor and evaluate media coverage, social media engagement, and stakeholder feedback.
• Report on the effectiveness of communications to senior staff and funders, highlighting areas for improvement.
• Participate in broader PPCA communications initiatives as needed.
• Must be based in Singapore.
• Significant professional experience in leading external communications, including the development and execution of communication strategies at senior, supervisory, or managerial levels.
• Proven track record of establishing and maintaining successful media relations in Southeast Asia, including story pitching and securing media coverage.
• Experience working within networks, demonstrating a strong ability in stakeholder management.
• Proven capability to engage with a variety of stakeholders, including governments, think tanks, and financial institutions.
• Demonstrated experience in organizing events.
• Understanding of digital communication tools and platforms, including social media management, website content management systems, and email marketing.
• Passion for tackling complex technical topics and converting them into compelling narratives about energy transition.
• Flexible and adaptable skills suitable for a fast-paced, diverse environment and across multiple time zones.
• Ability to independently meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Must have the right to live and work in the jurisdiction where E3G employs the candidate.
