This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska.
• Manage all functions of the remote commissary.
• Ensure that merchandise satisfies client requirements while maximizing company profitability.
• Cross-train in housekeeping and other administrative roles, including Billeting.
• Generate sales orders, invoices, and purchase orders.
• Process and receive incoming orders and invoices.
• Handle shipping and receiving of merchandise.
• Oversee accounts and maintain communication with vendor contacts.
• Set prices for merchandise to enhance profitability.
• Organize merchandise effectively.
• Support CC and Port camps with commissary requirements.
• Accurately complete weekly and monthly inventory in a timely manner.
• Respond to calls and emails in a prompt manner.
• Conduct daily commissary operations, including operating the register, cleaning, and managing inventory rotation.
• Coordinate orders and processes with other commissaries.
• Design and order apparel items.
• Inform the supervisor when safety and sanitation standards are not adhered to.
• Carry out additional duties that contribute to the success of the department or unit.
• Travel to and work at remote camps.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience demonstrating knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning processes.
• At least one (1) year of experience in commercial housekeeping.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a retail setting, including display setup, inventory management, product cost control, and merchandise presentation.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion in all actions.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
• Must successfully pass pre-employment contract requirements, which may include a drug test, physical and fit-for-duty assessment, and hearing test.
• Must collaborate effectively as part of a team with colleagues, customers, and clients.
• Must be capable of making decisions independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to stand for up to 12 hours per shift during the scheduled rotation.
• Must reside in dormitory-style accommodations and comply with remote camp cleanliness standards.
• Proficiency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing in English is required.
• Must follow company and client safety guidelines and regulations.
• Must be able to travel by plane and/or bus to remote camps.
• Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
• Company covers flights to remote locations for scheduled trips after reporting to the point of hire in Anchorage, AK.
