Commercial Supply Chain and Procurement Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish, lead, and expand a team focused on equipment sourcing for SCADA and metering procurement.

• Recruit, mentor, facilitate career development, and strategize resources as the team grows.

• Manage the financial aspects of equipment, including forecasting, revenue, COGS, and margin objectives.

• Create and implement equipment sourcing strategies that encompass supplier diversification, capacity, capability, and supply chain risk management.

• Oversee supplier relationships, agreements, terms and conditions, performance evaluations, payment terms, and bulk pricing negotiations.

• Enhance sourcing processes related to quoting, requirements flow-down, supplier selection, inventory planning, purchase order management, fulfillment, end-of-life management, and change orders.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to convert technical specifications and bills of materials into sourcing requirements.

• Integrate supply chain cybersecurity and regulatory factors, including NERC CIP requirements, into sourcing decisions.

• Work alongside the Enterprise Supply Chain on onboarding, pricing, logistics, receiving, inventory management, ERP facilitation, corrective actions, and analytics/KPIs.

• Ensure adherence to Supply Chain best practices and the Supplier Management program.

• Maintain market intelligence regarding SCADA/metering pricing, lead times, risks, and contract terms.

• Collaborate with proposal and sales teams on pricing, contracting, client feedback, and project execution.

• Identify, manage, and mitigate risks related to equipment delivery across active projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience in procurement and contract negotiation within the energy sector.

• Experience covering power delivery, process automation, protection & control, and/or renewable energy infrastructure.

• Previous leadership experience in building and developing high-performing teams.

• Strong commercial insight and familiarity with equipment and service supply contracts for large infrastructure projects.

• Proficient in assessing and mitigating financial, scheduling, and quality risks.

• Experience in managing relationships with external suppliers, vendors, clients, and project stakeholders.

• Exceptional cross-functional communication and presentation abilities.

• Capable of addressing procurement challenges that impact project timelines and budgets with urgency.

• Skilled in balancing competing priorities in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.

• Willingness to travel as required.

• Authorization to work permanently in the United States.

• EPC contracting experience is preferred.

• Direct experience in procuring SCADA, metering, or related automation and protection & control equipment is preferred.

• Familiarity with NERC CIP or other utility supply chain cybersecurity and regulatory requirements is preferred.

• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPM, or equivalents are preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP/procurement systems is preferred.
