This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the strategy, pricing, and performance metrics for the trailer storage product line, including rental, surplus, and Coop assets.
• Ensure that the trailer fleet’s storage application is both productive and profitable.
• Collaborate with regional Directors, Rental Account Managers, and Rental Managers in managing customers and equipment.
• Manage assigned profitability metrics and represent Ryder in internal and external meetings as necessary.
• Execute the strategic direction of the product, encompassing information technology, process modifications, and labor planning.
• Balance customer requirements with financial, operational, quality, and safety objectives.
• Partner with sales and marketing to profitably expand nationwide market share in trailer sales for storage purposes.
• Work with assigned regional staff to meet profitability goals and facilitate necessary resources.
• Support the maintenance of trailer fleet appearance, inventory management, policies, procedures, utilization, and return on investment.
• Ensure the delivery of promised services and customer satisfaction through maintenance and rental commitments.
• Conduct quality inspections of preventive maintenance and repairs, monitor quality-audit corrective actions, and implement continuous-improvement programs.
• Oversee the documentation needed for local, state, federal, and customer regulations.
• Ensure a safe working environment and lead safety initiatives and efforts.
• Adhere to safety, state, and EPA regulations and requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business, Operations, or Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 3 years in Product Management, Transportation Operations management, or a solution-focused role, with experience in strategic development, financial analysis, and performance management is required.
• Preferably, 3 years or more in Labor Planning or Process Engineering.
• Proven ability to represent Ryder professionally and interact competently with customer management is required.
• Strong understanding of labor, financial, operational, quality, safety, and asset processes along with relevant metrics is required.
• A solid sense of personal accountability and a proven history of achieving desired outcomes is required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with customers and across all organizational levels is required.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and a Microsoft Office environment is required.
• Ability to influence without authority throughout the organization is required.
• Experience working with reporting systems to extract data for analysis and decision-making is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of the diesel trucking industry is preferred.
• Ability to comprehend financial statements and operational metrics is required.
