This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.
β’ Assist Commercial Loan Officers in overseeing current commercial credit relationships as well as establishing new ones.
β’ Act as the main contact for ongoing borrowing relationships.
β’ Oversee existing borrower relationships and aid Commercial Loan Officers in developing new connections.
β’ Ensure prompt annual reviews and assess performance against covenants and conditions.
β’ Aid in monitoring and formulating action plans for deteriorating credit relationships, including watchlist and problem loan status reports.
β’ Gather updated information, analyze data, and produce periodic loan review memorandums with recommendations for risk upgrades or downgrades.
β’ Develop, coordinate, and assess annual review memorandums, property inspections, and commercial real estate evaluations.
β’ Underwrite, structure, and assist in documenting new loans or modifications to existing client relationships.
β’ Identify cross-sell opportunities and guide members towards Credit Union services and products.
β’ Conduct due diligence by reviewing financial, entity, legal, and other documents prior to credit submission.
β’ Monitor portfolio performance and trends, define solutions for credit relationships, recognize issues, and create remediation plans.
β’ Underwrite and offer credit approval recommendations as designated.
β’ Create and maintain specialized reports for risk monitoring, opportunity identification, and portfolio management.
β’ Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
β’ Provide input on updates to commercial lending policies and procedures.
β’ Stay updated on industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ High school diploma required.
β’ At least four (4) years of loan underwriting experience, preferably in commercial underwriting and analysis within a financial institution.
β’ Familiarity with commercial lending and deposit account procedures.
β’ Understanding of commercial and personal financial statement analysis.
β’ Knowledge of credit approval and annual review memorandums.
β’ Proficient in commercial loan documentation.
β’ Awareness and comprehension of lending regulations.
β’ High standards for accuracy, thoroughness, completeness, and documentation.
β’ Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation abilities.
β’ Proven customer service skills.
β’ Capability to organize tasks, respond promptly to member inquiries, and meet deadlines.
β’ Demonstrated skills in transactions related to member accounts.
β’ Ability to interpret and clarify Credit Union policies and account transactions.
β’ Capacity to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
β’ Experience with Abrigo Sageworks financial software or equivalent is preferred.
