This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Assist the Sales Team in expanding the CLS MYA portfolio in Software & Controls Solutions.
• Oversee the entire proposal development process, coordinating finance, Services, engineering, product line, tax, risk, legal, and Order to Remittance stakeholders.
• Support deal teams in meeting their orders, sales, and margin objectives.
• Assess opportunities and create indicative, budgetary, and firm MYA proposals.
• Direct proposal initiatives and customer negotiations.
• Offer commercial assistance including risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and terms and conditions management.
• Conduct evaluations of inflation and escalation, perform financial analysis, scenario planning, and develop pricing strategies.
• Communicate potential risks and mitigation strategies to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts, addressing negotiation gaps with customers.
• Collaborate with internal MYA teams, GE Vernova business lines, and both internal and external customers.
• Provide price tracking and trend analysis for MYA products.
• Present deals for delegation-of-authority approvals and ensure compliance with the ITO process.
• Manage tender schedules, internal approvals, bid submissions, and readiness for order bookings.
• Challenge existing tendering practices and suggest innovative collaboration methods.
• Utilize Salesforce.com and CPQ to handle proposal risk profiles and forecast pipelines.
• Facilitate handover meetings with Order to Remittance to accurately represent as-sold pricing and scope of supply.
• Lead communications and deal reviews with senior and executive leadership.
• Support the ongoing evolution and continuous improvement of the CLS MYA product line.
• Bachelor of Science/Engineering or equivalent expertise.
• At least 10 years of commercial experience in Power business tendering.
• Previous experience in evaluating and mitigating multi-year transaction risks.
• Proficient understanding of complex financial multi-year models and advanced formula-driven spreadsheets.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Familiarity with Software & Controls Solutions (SCS) Business Product Lines.
• Prior technical and/or field experience is preferred.
• Experience in contract drafting and managing as well as negotiating intricate commercial and legal terms and conditions.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, achieving consensus among various stakeholders.
• Capability to manage multiple transactions and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous.
• Strong business acumen, along with negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a proven record of responding promptly to customer needs.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• An MBA is preferred.
