This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the development of Commercial Lines Field Sales Representatives.
• Set clear expectations for activities, performance metrics, and outcomes.
• Conduct ride-alongs, perform call evaluations, and inspect territories.
• Recruit, onboard, and nurture talent within the team.
• Implement territory sales strategies aimed at achieving new business premiums, total written premiums, retention, and loss ratio goals.
• Oversee agency segmentation and the allocation of resources.
• Provide guidance on agency portfolio growth, rehabilitation, and exit strategies.
• Translate corporate distribution strategies into actionable field execution.
• Ensure consistent messaging and value propositions throughout agency interactions.
• Implement regional growth initiatives and programs.
• Take ownership of regional sales results through effective performance management.
• Monitor growth metrics, submission flow, pipeline quality, hit ratios, retention, and profitability KPIs.
• Identify performance issues and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Manage essential agency relationships and LAPP accounts.
• Develop executive-level relationships with key agents.
• Control agent compensation expenses within the allocated budgets.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product, operations, claims, service, FAD, EIU, Specialty, and Small Commercial teams.
• Gather market insights on pricing, coverage gaps, agency sentiment, and competitor activities.
• Recognize emerging regional risks and opportunities.
• Complete or assist with regional-level reporting.
• Perform additional assigned duties and adhere to corporate policies and procedures.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible roles in P&C insurance, including leadership experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience is required.
• Significant insurance education, such as INS, AU, or CPCU, is highly recommended, or a demonstrated commitment to pursuing insurance education.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop sales representatives.
• Experience in managing agency relationships and overseeing territory performance.
• Capacity to manage objectives related to growth, profitability, retention, and loss ratios.
• Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lines insurance and property and casualty insurance.
• Proficiency in analyzing KPIs, market intelligence, competitive insights, and regional performance.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with underwriting, claims, product, operations, specialty, and small commercial teams.
• Skill in maintaining expense discipline within set budgets.
• This is a full-time salaried position, exempt from overtime eligibility.
