This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the skills of Commercial Lines Field Sales Representatives.
• Set clear expectations regarding activity, performance, and desired outcomes.
• Conduct ride-alongs, evaluate calls, and perform territory inspections.
• Recruit, onboard, and nurture talent.
• Implement territory sales strategies aimed at achieving new business premium, total written premium, retention, and loss ratio objectives.
• Supervise agency segmentation and the allocation of resources.
• Guide decisions related to agency portfolio growth, rehabilitation, and exit strategies.
• Translate corporate distribution strategies into actionable field initiatives.
• Promote a consistent message and value proposition during agency interactions.
• Execute regional growth initiatives and programs effectively.
• Manage regional sales outcomes through the performance management of representatives.
• Track growth, submission flow, pipeline quality, hit ratio, retention, and profitability KPIs.
• Identify performance issues and implement corrective measures.
• Oversee key agency relationships and LAPP accounts.
• Build and maintain executive-level relationships with priority agents.
• Enhance agency engagement and strategies for increasing share-of-wallet.
• Maintain fiscal discipline within designated budgets.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product, operations, claims, service, FAD, EIU, Specialty, and Small Commercial teams.
• Provide market insights regarding pricing, coverage gaps, agency sentiment, and competitor activity.
• Identify emerging regional risks and opportunities.
• Complete or support regional reporting obligations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned while adhering to corporate policies and procedures.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible roles in P&C insurance, including leadership experience.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience.
• Significant insurance education, such as INS, AU, or CPCU, or a demonstrated commitment to pursue further insurance education.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop Commercial Lines Field Sales Representatives.
• Capability to manage agency relationships and oversee territory performance.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial property and casualty insurance sales, underwriting discipline, and profitability metrics.
• Proficiency in monitoring growth, premium, retention, loss ratio, hit ratio, and pipeline KPIs.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, claims, product, operations, and specialty business units.
• Skill in providing market intelligence and analyzing regional performance.
• This position is full-time, salaried, exempt, and not eligible for overtime.
