Commercial Finance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist Circana's Consumer Packaged Goods sector within Commercial Finance.

• Create and manage standardized reporting packages across various CPG practices.

• Utilize automation to enhance reporting efficiency, minimize manual tasks, and ensure data precision.

• Standardize financial reporting, revenue assessments, and analytical methods throughout the CPG organization.

• Conduct variance analysis and root-cause assessments related to revenue, expenses, and headcount.

• Collaborate with Commercial Finance leaders to evaluate performance, identify trends, and provide financial insights.

• Test new reporting, AI, and automation solutions.

• Work with Accounting to address discrepancies between reporting systems.

• Assist with headcount planning, revenue reporting, month-end financial packages, and ad hoc analyses.

• Support business cases and strategic reporting initiatives, including Complete Food and Complete Beauty programs.

• Facilitate the rollout and adoption of reporting tools, templates, and standardized processes.

• Document processes and offer user training.

• Aid in account transfer validation activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.

• 2–4 years of experience in finance, FP&A, commercial finance, revenue analytics, or reporting.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, Power Query, large datasets, reporting automation, and financial analysis.

• Experience in developing or automating recurring reports using Power Query, Power BI, Excel add-ins, or similar workflow automation tools.

• Strong analytical abilities for investigating variances, identifying business drivers, and translating findings into actionable insights.

• Experience working with extensive datasets to analyze trends, support decision-making, and enhance reporting processes.

• Capability to create, document, and standardize reporting procedures.

• Comfort with Microsoft Copilot and AI assistants for analysis, reporting, and documentation.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across Finance, Accounting, and Commercial teams.

• Self-motivated individual with intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning is a plus.

• Willingness to work within the Central Time Zone.

• Successful completion of a background check may be required.
