This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver prompt, courteous, and high-quality service to policyholders and claimants.
• Address customer inquiries, initiate investigations, and resolve claims effectively.
• Collect essential information to initiate claims processes.
• Clarify policy details, coverage, and suitable actions to take.
• Manage a portfolio of claims efficiently.
• Set initial reserves for potential exposures and adjust them as necessary throughout the claims process.
• Coordinate the repair of damaged vehicles and assist with rental reimbursement needs.
• Identify recovery opportunities related to subrogation, salvage, and total loss situations.
• Ensure adherence to state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures.
• Communicate with all parties involved and negotiate settlements with claimants, insureds, and attorneys within the approved payment authority.
• Contribute insights on claims guidelines, best practices, and opportunities for process improvements.
• Supervise and direct external investigative service providers.
• Collaborate with clients, client counsel, and investigative services to resolve claims effectively.
• Participate in learning opportunities related to personal lines claims, relevant court rulings, current claims guidelines, and policy updates.
• Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout their employment.
• Candidates must not reside in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States.
• A Bachelor's degree is preferred (lack of degree should not deter applicants with all other qualifications).
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial transportation claims, specifically with Third-Party Property Damage/Total Loss.
• An active adjuster license is required: a resident state license if available, otherwise a Designated Home State (DHS) license.
• Willingness to obtain all required licenses within 60 days, including completing any state-mandated testing.
• Familiarity with state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures is essential.
• Commercial experience is necessary.
• Capability to analyze and assess claims data and make informed decisions based on established guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Curiosity and a drive for problem-solving and challenging the status quo.
• A desire to engage in learning opportunities and pursue continuous professional development.
• Strong analytical skills are required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are a must.
