This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and execute collections strategies for all delinquency stages, encompassing early-stage, mid-stage, late-stage, and pre-charge-off scenarios.
• Collaborate with teams from Collections Operations, Credit Risk, Regulatory/Compliance, Product, Finance, and Analytics.
• Develop and refine risk-based treatment strategies, customer segmentation, prioritization, contact channel mix, timing and intensity of contact, as well as hardship, payment plan, and settlement offers.
• Perform comprehensive data analysis throughout the collections funnel, examining roll rates, cure rates, flow-to-loss, right-party contact rates, promise-to-pay and kept-promise rates, total dollars collected, and cost-to-collect.
• Design, implement, and assess champion/challenger and A/B tests on collections treatments.
• Collaborate with modeling teams to create, deploy, and oversee collections models.
• Track portfolio delinquency and charge-off performance metrics, identify emerging trends, and monitor macroeconomic stress indicators.
• Assist in delinquency and charge-off forecasting alongside Finance and Loss Forecasting teams.
• Work with Collections Operations on dialer strategy, agency placement strategy, and capacity planning.
• Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and obtain approvals for policy and strategy implementations.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, statistics, mathematics, economics, or a related quantitative field.
• At least 6 years of experience in credit risk or collections analytics.
• Proven experience in developing collections strategies for credit cards or other unsecured lending products.
• Prior experience in analytics consulting within the banking sector.
• Deep understanding of the credit card collections lifecycle, delinquency buckets, roll-rate dynamics, charge-off policies, and agency management.
• Strong proficiency in SQL or Python.
• Practical experience with Snowflake, Power BI, and Looker is preferred.
• Familiarity with collections platforms, dialer systems, and decision engines is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in statistical analysis, test design and measurement, segmentation, and financial modeling, including NPV-based evaluation of collections strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with financial institutions such as banks or fintech collections or risk analytics departments.
