Collection Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Interact with customers through phone, email, and written communication to address complex issues, concerns, disputes, and payment arrangements.

• Deliver professional and courteous customer service at all times.

• Oversee complex and high-value delinquent accounts to maximize recovery efforts.

• Monitor, document, and track communications, agreements, and payment activities.

• Work in collaboration with sales and customer service teams to resolve issues and ensure prompt payment.

• Negotiate settlements, discounts, and extended payment terms effectively.

• Maintain precise collection records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.

• Report on collection activities and account statuses to management.

• Escalate delinquent and high-risk accounts and recommend legal action when necessary.

• Analyze customer accounts, trends, and payment behaviors to enhance collection strategies.

• Generate and review collection reports, providing insights for process improvements.

• Ensure adherence to collection laws and regulations, including the FDCPA.

• Guide, train, and mentor junior collection staff (Levels 1 and 2) on complex cases and best practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field (or comparable experience).

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in collections (mandatory).

• Fluent in English and French, with a minimum proficiency level of B2/C1 (mandatory).

• Proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel.

• Comprehensive understanding of applicable laws and regulations related to collections activities.

• Familiarity with basic accounting principles.

• Expertise in collection software, Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and data analysis tools.

• Experience with collections software or ERP systems is advantageous.

• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.

• Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.

• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational capabilities.

• Capacity to work under pressure, meet deadlines, exercise sound judgment, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Openness to learning and adhering to established procedures.

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to lead, coach, and mentor individuals or teams.

• Required to sit for extended periods, use a telephone headset, type for long durations, and engage with digital displays.
