πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ The CoC (Chain of Custody) Regional Manager for Affiliates in Western Europe and the Americas is tasked with ensuring quality assurance for audits, providing technical support to assigned affiliates, and handling other responsibilities essential for maintaining accreditations.

β€’ Assisting in the growth of the CBE timber and paper certification business, primarily focusing on FSC/PEFC COC certification and timber due diligence services within the regions of the assigned affiliates (Western Europe and Americas).

β€’ Maintain effective communication and collaboration with the Global Forestry Team to explore shared business development opportunities.

β€’ Aid the Global Technical Manager in updating COC procedures and relevant documentation.

β€’ Ensure that COC accreditation standards are integrated into SGS procedures and effectively communicated to affiliates and auditors.

β€’ Deliver timely technical support and information to the designated SGS affiliates.

β€’ Oversee the technical review of COC reports to guarantee alignment with accreditation requirements and certification decision-making processes.

β€’ Conduct technical reviews of COC reports when necessary.

β€’ Execute Technical Internal Office Audits (L2) as outlined in the global audit plan.

β€’ Ensure the proper maintenance of the FSC Database.

β€’ Manage quality and monitor the performance of SGS delivering affiliates through KPI management.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A tertiary education in Forest Management or Timber Engineering, or secondary education complemented by equivalent professional training and work experience.

β€’ FSC COC Lead Auditor certification is mandatory.

β€’ Relevant work experience in the timber and/or paper industries.

β€’ Experience in audit and commercial activities related to products, including the creation of commercial proposals.

β€’ Strong customer focus and commercial acumen.

β€’ Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English, with well-developed presentation abilities and the capacity to engage effectively with senior government officials and top management.

β€’ Team-oriented with the ability to work independently without close supervision.

β€’ Competent in computer skills.

β€’ Proficiency in English, alongside local language capabilities, is a plus.
