
Co-op – Systems Integration, Verification, and Validation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Assist in system integration and testing activities within laboratory and simulated operational settings.
• Carry out verification and validation tasks following established protocols under the mentorship of senior engineers.
• Examine and evaluate system requirements to ensure testability and maintain verification traceability.
• Aid in the investigation, troubleshooting, and retesting of system defects.
• Contribute to enhancements in processes, initiatives for test automation, and quality assurance efforts.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, software developers, and cross-functional teams.
• Engage in iterative development or structured project team activities.
• Support comprehensive verification processes for intricate defense systems utilized in land operations.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical/scientific field.
• Must be enrolled at a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution.
• Must qualify for a co-op work term during the specified timeframe.
• Provide proof of enrollment and the most recent academic transcript.
• Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and accountability for assigned tasks.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Java.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks or lab/system testing environments, such as Robot Framework or Selenium.
• Knowledge of requirements management or defect tracking tools, like JIRA or DOORS.
• Understanding of system verification and validation processes.
• Exposure to hardware/software interfacing or embedded systems.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Canadian government security clearance.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Experience with or knowledge of AI/ML models is preferred.
