This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Travel to client locations to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
• Diagnose and repair CNC machinery.
• Utilize online technical documentation, manuals, and vendor resources to investigate machine-related issues.
• Accurately complete and submit documentation concerning machine problems, repairs, and installations.
• Advocate for and conduct preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment.
• Provide after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the machine tool sector and the product lines represented by the company.
• Report directly to the Service Manager.
• Begin each workday from home and travel to customer sites within a designated regional territory.
• Execute related tasks as assigned.
• Proven experience in mechanical or electrical repair or engineering is preferred.
• Background in CNC repair is advantageous.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting drawings and schematics is essential.
• Familiarity with software applications, such as Microsoft Office, is a plus.
• Capability to utilize a laptop, smartphone, and various software tools.
• Exceptional technical, communication, and presentation skills are required.
• Ability to regularly lift weights between 40–50 pounds.
• Willingness to maintain flexible hours and undertake frequent travel and driving across a regional area.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills are mandatory.
• Capacity to operate in industrial settings while wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work in confined spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated locations.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor abilities are necessary.
• Must be capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and reaching for extended periods.
• Should be highly mobile and able to navigate all areas of the premises.
