This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Travel to client locations to install, repair, fix, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls.
• Utilize mechanical and electrical expertise to troubleshoot CNC machinery.
• Refer to online technical documents, manuals, and vendor resources to investigate machine-related issues.
• Precisely document and communicate machine issues, repair, and installation status to both the office and customers.
• Advocate for and conduct preventative maintenance on customer machine tool equipment.
• Offer after-sales technical support and training to clients.
• Keep a comprehensive understanding of the machine tool industry and the product lines represented by the company.
• Report directly to the Service Manager.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• Commute daily from home to client locations across a designated regional territory.
• Proven experience in mechanical or electrical repair or engineering is preferred.
• Background in CNC repair is advantageous.
• Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software is a plus.
• Comfort with using a laptop, smartphone, and various software applications is necessary.
• Strong technical, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Capacity to regularly lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Frequent travel and driving within a regional territory is expected.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills are essential.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery.
• Professional and responsible work conduct in dynamic job environments.
• Capability to work in industrial settings and adhere to required PPE protocols.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended durations.
• Comfort working in confined spaces or awkward positions.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Ability to access all areas of the premises while remaining mobile.
• Focused ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Capacity to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs., with assistance when necessary.
