This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Panama, +4 more states.
• Develop, execute, and oversee strategic plans, company policies, and operations for the designated cluster.
• Offer strategic counsel to regional and business-line executives along with stakeholders.
• Set company objectives and formulate both long-term and short-term goals.
• Provide guidance and take part in board activities, advising the chairperson on market and industry issues.
• Formulate cost-effective business strategies and generate ideas that align with market, industry, and company growth initiatives.
• Steer company performance and execute strategic operational plans.
• Communicate reports and accomplishments to executives, stakeholders, and business partners.
• Oversee financial investments and business ventures for the cluster.
• Inspire and lead team members while cultivating a high-performance environment.
• Supervise managers and supervisors within the cluster.
• Guarantee bottom-line profitability while supporting collections and cash management.
• Create reporting tools to track ongoing company performance.
• Direct strategy for new developments and client acquisitions.
• Forge relationships with industry leaders, market experts, airports, government authorities, and customers.
• Enhance the company’s public profile through networking, conferences, and speaking opportunities.
• Act as the public representative of the company when necessary.
• Develop growth pipelines in collaboration with Business Line Executives.
• Encourage team member engagement initiatives and the continuous enhancement of the corporate brand.
• Ensure operations across business lines align with corporate standards, procedures, and customer needs.
• Maintain compliance with applicable local laws and regulations.
• Foster customer satisfaction while supporting corporate initiatives and strategic projects.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned or needed.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of relevant experience as an international multi-country/unit leader or similar title.
• Relevant experience, preferably in the airline, airline catering, catering, food service, or food production sectors, including operations and logistics.
• International business management experience, ideally with unions, collective agreements, and labor laws.
• Current knowledge of industry trends and the capacity to communicate these trends and potential clearly and confidently.
• Proficient in computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
• Understanding of corporate law and management best practices.
• Strong grasp of the company, its business, brand, and products, along with an understanding of its market/industry positioning.
• Capability to mentor and lead effectively.
• Competence in analyzing issues and developing improved solutions.
• Familiarity with budgetary and accounting functions.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Willingness and capability to travel extensively both domestically and internationally, approximately 75% of the time.
