Cloud / Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee and provide support for GCP, AWS, and/or Azure cloud environments

• Administer Google Workspace, including Gmail, Drive, Shared Drives, Groups, Meet, and user management

• Manage cloud servers, virtual machines, storage, networking, users, roles, and permissions

• Monitor system availability, performance, security, backups, and overall infrastructure health

• Diagnose and resolve cloud, server, network, authentication, and application-related issues

• Provide support for Windows and Linux systems, including patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance

• Assist with security configurations and the remediation of vulnerabilities

• Facilitate application deployments, migrations, and backup/recovery processes

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and operational procedures

• Collaborate with application, network, cybersecurity, help desk, and government customer teams

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-10+ years of experience in cloud, systems administration, or infrastructure support

• Practical experience with GCP, AWS, and/or Azure

• Strong preference for experience with Google Workspace administration

• Background in supporting Windows and/or Linux systems

• Knowledge of cloud networking, identity/access management, monitoring, security, backup, and recovery

• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation abilities

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field

• Federal government IT support experience is preferred

• Familiarity with NIST, FISMA, RMF, and ATO environments is advantageous

• Experience with Google Cloud Identity, IAM, monitoring, Active Directory, or Microsoft Entra ID is preferred

• Certifications in Google Cloud, Google Workspace, AWS, Azure, or CompTIA are a plus

• US Citizenship work authorization is required

• Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
