Cloud Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of AWS and Azure cloud initiatives across various client environments, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Spearhead the delivery of cloud migrations, cloud-native solution implementations, technology upgrades, DevOps initiatives, and operational enhancement projects.

• Lead client project status meetings, providing updates on progress, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and next steps.

• Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, risk and issue logs, action trackers, meeting minutes, and decision documentation.

• Draft and assist with Statements of Work that encompass scope, assumptions, deliverables, estimates, dependencies, exclusions, and acceptance criteria.

• Organize and facilitate both internal and client-facing project meetings.

• Manage relationships with client stakeholders, technical teams, third-party vendors, and internal delivery teams.

• Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests effectively.

• Conduct quality assurance on project deliverables to ensure they meet established standards.

• Coordinate the transition of projects into operational support, including documentation, knowledge transfer, support processes, and service readiness.

• Provide clear and concise reporting to internal management and client stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing IT, infrastructure, or cloud projects within client-facing settings.

• Familiarity with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure project delivery, encompassing cloud migrations, platform implementations, cloud-native solution deliveries, and technology upgrade projects.

• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects or a portfolio of work across diverse clients, teams, and priorities.

• Strong stakeholder management capabilities, engaging effectively with client sponsors, technical teams, vendors, and internal management.

• Excellent written communication skills, including the production of Statements of Work, meeting minutes, project reports, action logs, and governance documentation.

• Solid understanding of project governance, risk management, issue management, change control, and quality assurance processes.

• Highly motivated, organized, and focused on delivery, with strong judgment, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

• Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certification are preferred.

• Cloud certifications like AWS Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals would be advantageous.
