This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design, operate, maintain, and enhance cloud infrastructure environments that support various services.
• Provide operational system administration and deployment assistance across AWS and Microsoft Azure GovCloud platforms.
• Configure, test, and deploy native, COTS, FOSS, and custom capabilities within AWS, Azure GovCloud, and on-premises cloud environments.
• Oversee compute, storage, networking, and platform services across multi-enclave cloud environments.
• Implement and sustain Infrastructure-as-Code and automation for cloud provisioning and configuration management.
• Facilitate DevSecOps pipelines by enabling automated deployment, integration, and monitoring of cloud-based applications.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, and implement enhancements to optimize operations.
• Execute patching, upgrades, configuration management, and troubleshooting tasks.
• Ensure adherence to NIST SP 800-53, RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
• Assist in asset management, backup, disaster recovery, and continuity of operations processes.
• Identify and resolve operational issues affecting system performance, scalability, and availability.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps, cybersecurity, data engineering, and system development teams.
• Support incident response and operational troubleshooting efforts.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• A Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for a degree.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with eligibility for DoD Top Secret SCI.
• Experience in operating, maintaining, and securing GovCloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• At least 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in GovCloud operations.
• Current DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification suitable for Intermediate System Administrator roles (e.g., Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, or equivalent), or DoD 8140 Training Repository offerings, or demonstrated equivalent training and experience qualifying under DoD 8140 foundational qualification alternatives.
• Cloud certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Azure Administrator - Associate, or Google Cloud Engineer.
• Experience in system administration within secure DoD or Federal environments.
• Familiarity with implementing Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience in supporting DevSecOps pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
• Knowledge of applying RMF, STIGs, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience in developing and deploying systems using Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience in deploying automated solutions to manage large-scale systems.
• Knowledge of horizontally and vertically scaling infrastructure concerning the application layer.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and capability to conduct root cause analysis.
