This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee operations of cloud programs, including governance, cost optimization, and financial reporting across major platforms like AWS, Azure, and others.
• Collaborate with teams from Technology, Data, Product, Finance, and third-party vendors.
• Create and sustain a comprehensive overview of the cloud roadmap, operational health, and usage metrics.
• Conduct financial analysis and reporting for both business operations and cloud environments.
• Recognize and apply recommendations for cloud cost savings and best practices.
• Execute capacity planning and budget planning for cloud initiatives.
• Assist in the business aspects of migrating new workloads.
• Connect financial systems with cloud billing tools.
• Spearhead the adoption of Cloud FinOps best practices, encompassing cost governance, budgeting, forecasting, AWS Marketplace acquisitions, and cost allocation.
• Create frameworks for managing cloud costs, including budgets, forecasts, investment cost analysis, and variance analysis.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports that illustrate cloud costs and usage trends.
• Establish and enhance AWS service plans while monitoring cloud resource expenses.
• Handle AWS Marketplace subscription renewals and terminations.
• Articulate cloud cost concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a field related to Finance or Business Administration.
• Eight (8) years of direct experience in IT Finance and cloud environments, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• In-depth understanding of cloud computing principles and best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Experience in developing data analytics dashboards and reports relevant to finance and operational processes.
• Familiarity with cloud cost management tools such as CloudZero, Cloudability, and CloudHealth.
• Knowledge of financial modeling and planning software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience in business projects that involve determining and driving process, technology, and organizational changes/impacts.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based tools.
• Willingness to travel 5% of the time.
• Ability to pass the required background check.
• Must be a resident of one of the 50 states or Washington, D.C.
