Cloud Engineer – Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical functionality and support of cloud environments, addressing intricate challenges.

• Implement projects aimed at enhancing the reliability, security, efficiency, and maturity of the infrastructure.

• Act as a technical resource for cloud environments.

• Analyze incidents and complex issues related to infrastructure, connectivity, IAM, compute, storage, and managed services.

• Lead the troubleshooting process and conduct root cause analysis.

• Recognize technical debt and suggest remediation strategies.

• Assist with migrations and architectural modifications.

• Promote enhancements in availability, resilience, capacity, and performance.

• Contribute to automating repetitive operational tasks.

• Support FinOps practices by pinpointing optimization opportunities.

• Create technical documentation and procedures to minimize dependence on individual expertise.

• Collaborate closely with Security, Networking, DevOps, Architecture, and Development teams.

• Carry out projects focused on the evolution, modernization, and enhancement of environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience managing production environments within a public cloud.

• Understanding of operating systems.

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities.

• Proficiency in Git, GitLab, and related CI/CD tools.

• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform/OpenTofu.

• Knowledge of automation orchestration with Ansible.

• Proficient in coding and developing scripts and automations using Shell Script, Python, Golang, or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools, such as Zabbix, Grafana Stack, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.

• Awareness of security and architectural best practices.

• An analytical mindset, coupled with a sense of ownership and autonomy in investigating and resolving complex cloud issues.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage operational demands alongside environment improvement and evolution projects.

• A collaborative mindset, strong communication abilities, and a willingness to share knowledge.

• A plus: experience with critical, highly available cloud environments.

• A plus: expertise in troubleshooting complex incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and preventing recurrence.

• A plus: involvement in cloud infrastructure projects, including migrations, modernization, upgrades, and architectural evolution.

• A plus: leading technical initiatives by organizing activities, dependencies, and risks, while tracking execution through delivery.

• A plus: identifying and addressing technical debt and foundational enhancements.

• A plus: cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, and Huawei Cloud).

• A plus: experience in developing AI agents for operations, observability, or software engineering.

• A plus: knowledge of AI Engineering, Agentic Systems, RAG, MCP, and LLM integration.
