Cloud Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide independent support for the design, implementation, and management of Reprise Financial's Azure environment, which includes AKS, App Service, Functions, Storage, Azure SQL, and Key Vault.

• Deploy and manage Azure resources and networking through Bicep/ARM Infrastructure as Code.

• Oversee cloud costs, SKU utilization, performance, and capacity using Azure's built-in tools and reporting capabilities.

• Support the operations of AKS clusters and coordinate workload deployments using DevOps GitOps tools.

• Assist in enhancing cloud security, addressing vulnerabilities, managing access control, and analyzing cloud posture findings.

• Balance tasks related to security, planned project initiatives, and incident escalations.

• Contribute to multi-cloud efforts involving AWS and GCP resources.

• Diagnose cloud incidents, document root causes, and implement corrective measures.

• Collaborate with Network Engineering on Cloudflare and edge-related challenges, as well as with the Security team.

• Maintain architecture diagrams, runbooks, and configuration documentation.

• Participate in disaster-recovery testing using Azure Backup.

• Provide compliance evidence for GLBA, NIST CSF, SOC 1, and PCI-DSS audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• At least three years of hands-on experience with Azure services across compute, storage, networking, and identity services.

• Proficiency in Bicep or ARM templates for Infrastructure as Code.

• Basic understanding of AKS/Kubernetes fundamentals and GitOps deployment methodologies.

• Acquainted with Azure Key Vault, GitHub Secrets, and fundamental cloud security concepts, including identity management, network segmentation, and hardening practices.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with DevOps, Network, and Security teams.

• Familiarity with AWS and/or GCP services is an advantage.

• Preferred Azure certification, such as AZ-104 or its equivalent.

• Must be located in one of the employer's approved regions by the start date.
