This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

• Design and establish automated, continuous backup solutions for the Azure IoT Hub device registry and device twin state.

• Securely store backup data in Azure Blob Storage.

• Develop automation processes to ensure dependable and consistent backup operations.

• Implement and evaluate disaster recovery strategies for the Azure IoT Hub environment.

• Produce operational disaster recovery runbooks and technical documentation.

• Plan and conduct comprehensive device state restoration drills in a development setting.

• Confirm the successful restoration of the device registry and twin state as part of the acceptance criteria.

• Assist in monitoring and providing operational visibility into backup and recovery workflows.

• Collaborate with cloud, DevOps, backend, and IoT engineering teams to enhance platform resilience.

• Demonstrated experience as a Cloud or DevOps Engineer within Microsoft Azure environments.

• Strong practical experience with Azure IoT Hub.

• Familiarity with Azure Storage / Blob Storage.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

• Robust automation skills and a mindset geared towards automation.

• Hands-on experience in designing or implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Experience in creating operational DR runbooks and recovery protocols.

• Proficiency in monitoring and operational dashboard creation.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Previous experience with Azure IoT Hub disaster recovery is a plus.

• Experience with IoT platforms or edge environments is advantageous.

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline processes is beneficial.

• Familiarity with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates is an advantage.

• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting is beneficial.

• Experience conducting recovery drills or business continuity testing is advantageous.

• Understanding of Azure security and identity management is a plus.
