This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +6 more states.
• Oversee a HIPAA-compliant AWS landing zone as the principal owner of data, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
• Manage the deployment of Tableau Server within the AWS landing zone, including tasks such as patching, upgrades, and performance monitoring.
• Provide specialized knowledge in cloud infrastructure to facilitate secure and efficient cloud adoption.
• Spearhead initiatives related to AI/ML and analytics infrastructure.
• Assist in the design and development of new cloud solutions, from analyzing requirements to full implementation.
• Ensure that cloud solutions are prepared for ongoing support.
• Oversee cloud migration projects and create as well as execute migration strategies.
• Design infrastructure solutions utilizing Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation techniques.
• Investigate and prototype technologies to improve cloud capabilities.
• Automate processes to minimize operational toil.
• Mentor colleagues to enhance cloud outcomes.
• Enhance the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineers to fulfill data protection and disaster recovery requirements.
• Lead and engage in knowledge-sharing activities and communities of practice.
• Work alongside security teams, third-party vendors, and organizational peers.
• Design and optimize solutions across single-cloud, multi-cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Ensure compliance with security and compliance standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, management information systems, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of five years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field.
• Possession of AWS certifications.
• Proficient in engaging with infrastructure and application support teams.
• Strong experience in cloud migration projects and securing cloud platforms in collaboration with security teams.
• Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• History of proposing new standards based on feedback received.
• Proficient with DevOps tools, CI/CD platforms, and infrastructure-as-code technologies.
• Understanding of software engineering principles, including source control, versioning, and code reviews.
• Experience in HIPAA-compliant environments.
• Expertise in implementing highly available systems across multiple availability zones and regions.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of database technologies.
• Experience with Active Directory/Azure AD.
• Proficient with AWS CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of cloud networking concepts.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, including key management and encryption.
• Knowledge of cloud spending analysis for resource optimization.
