This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the use of AVITA products through educational initiatives and act as a consultant for clinical clients regarding AVITA formularies, protocols, policies, and procedures.

• Execute both internal and external educational programs to enhance medical, clinical, scientific, and economic comprehension of therapies and indications that align with company objectives.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Medical Affairs to identify and create clinical educational resources tailored for key AVITA accounts.

• Act as the clinical expert for customers on the RECELL System, covering indications, device setup, skin processing, dressing changes, and aftercare.

• Deliver hands-on training sessions, provide surgical case support, and assist with dressing changes.

• Offer clinical support and training on upcoming devices and products.

• Professionally represent AVITA in the field to ensure visibility and satisfaction among customers.

• Assist with cases outside of assigned territories as required.

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Medical Affairs to identify, report, and provide guidance on customer needs, product performance, and potential sales opportunities.

• Implement clinical education programs for priority and target accounts to enhance knowledge, product utilization, and account revenue.

• Communicate with physicians and nurses regarding clinical requirements, patient management strategies, and product effectiveness.

• Serve as a resource for Marketing in the field during product development, new product launches, and promotional activities.

• Engage in national, regional, and local conferences to boost company visibility and credibility.

• Meet quarterly with the CTS Director to assess clinical performance, progress with target accounts, and the competitive landscape.

• Operate within established budgets and adhere to corporate policies and procedures.

• Conduct administrative tasks utilizing Salesforce, Insperity, Concur, and other relevant systems.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or other relevant qualifications, with an active license in good standing.

• Must qualify for vendor credentialing at all hospital burn and trauma centers, including Parallon and HealthTrust Verified Professionals.

• Required experience in acute burn care.

• Hands-on experience in a bedside clinical burn unit or in the medical device industry is a plus.

• Proven ability to manage projects efficiently from inception to completion.

• Direct experience interacting with customers, opinion leaders, operating room personnel, and broad healthcare industry exposure is an advantage.

• Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 60–70%) within the designated territory, including weekly overnight trips via air and/or vehicle.

• Ability to cover accounts outside the assigned territory as necessary.

• Prior experience in education and training within a clinical environment.

• Clinical skill set characterized by drive and self-motivation, strong interpersonal and communication abilities, planning, organization, delivery, and capability to work independently.

• Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with burn surgeons, operating room staff, burn/trauma/ICU nurses, and sales personnel.

• Entrepreneurial mindset, competitive spirit, and robust work ethic.

• Ability to take initiative, follow through, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and exceed outlined expectations as required.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to convey product-related clinical information and evidence in a clear and concise manner.

• Proficient listening skills and ability to communicate effectively in formal and informal contexts, using both written and verbal methods.

• Ability to maintain positive and cooperative relationships with employees, customers, and contractors through effective communication and collaboration.

• Cross-functional capability to work with teams and lead initiatives.

• Ability to establish and nurture relationships with colleagues through sharing ideas, providing clinical recommendations, leadership, self-motivation, and initiative.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, evaluate priorities, develop detailed action plans, and effectively organize and schedule meetings and tasks.

• Capacity to plan and execute growth strategies within targeted accounts in collaboration with Sales Management.

• Compliance with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory standards, AVITA policies, operational procedures, and task assignments.

• Commitment to professional and ethical conduct.

• Proactive work approach with the ability to perform tasks independently without detailed instructions.

• High level of clinical, market, and competitive product knowledge.

• Ability to meet physical requirements including sitting, standing, walking, repetitive hand motions, and occasionally lifting/moving items up to 40 pounds.

• Competency with universal precautions for infection control related to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases.

• Positions requiring participation in the Respiratory Protection Program necessitate medical clearance and passing a fit test to wear a respirator; facial hair that affects the seal is not permitted.
