Clinical Specialist, Joint Replacement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop clinical and technical knowledge in both robotic and manual orthopedic procedures.

• Assist surgeons in the operating room with pre-operative planning, case preparation, system setup, and real-time procedural workflows.

• Support CT-based planning, implant sizing, positioning, registration, and intra-operative assistance utilizing Mako technology.

• Achieve proficiency in solo case coverage for both manual and robotic procedures.

• Verify instrumentation, set up equipment, and confirm operating room readiness.

• Resolve technical issues that arise in the operating room.

• Oversee accounts, manage inventory, and coordinate logistics.

• Observe experienced colleagues to gain insights into territory dynamics and surgeon preferences.

• Engage in product demonstrations, cadaver labs, educational programs, and customer training events.

• Foster relationships with surgeons, operating room staff, and cross-functional teams.

• Handle account administration, system updates, and maintain case documentation.

• Work collaboratively with sales partners to provide exceptional customer support.

• Be available for on-call coverage during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree OR an associate degree with 4 years of professional and/or related experience OR a high school diploma with 6 years of professional and/or related experience.

• Preferred: 1 year of relevant work experience.

• Previous clinical experience is preferred, including nursing, physical therapy, surgical technology, athletic training, personal training, or medical scribing.

• Capability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to remain standing for extended periods.

• Competence in managing high-pressure situations in the operating room with professionalism and focus.

• Ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs of force consistently to move objects.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.

• Capability to complete all required trainings, competencies, and certifications.
