This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver clinical, technical, and product expertise to both current and prospective clients.
• Foster and sustain customer relationships while offering comprehensive training.
• Collaborate with NRCs and the Surgical Synergy team to manage customer installations.
• Represent Medtronic during technology-enabled procedures and provide necessary technical support.
• Ensure optimal performance by maintaining system hardware and software.
• Implement software and hardware upgrades and carry out preventative maintenance tasks.
• Offer telephone support for clinical and technical repair inquiries.
• Serve as the primary Medtronic customer contact for repair and technical support matters.
• Provide district teams with valuable insights regarding customer feedback, issues, and market prospects.
• Document complaints and collaborate with CSM/NRCs to facilitate resolutions.
• Generate weekly reports on site visits and customer interactions.
• Educate and train physicians and hospital staff on technology-enabled procedures.
• Act as a clinical resource for surgeons, clinicians, and trainees.
• Conduct customer training sessions and train-the-trainer programs.
• Instruct Surgical Synergy Clinical Support team members on current procedures and technologies.
• Identify potential new Navigation and Robotics users in conjunction with NRCs, Spinal Sales, and NS Representatives.
• Participate in sales meetings, training programs, conventions, and trade shows.
• Provide support for complex new image-guided products and applications.
• Document both new and existing installations.
• Work closely with the Surgical Synergy Region Manager and CSM to set priorities for technical support and service objectives.
• Contribute insights for new product development based on field experiences.
• Comply with company policies, Quality System, BCS standards, and ethical practices.
• Must reside within the designated territory.
• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years in clinical, medical sales, or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience; or an Associate’s Degree with at least 4 years of such experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license and an active vehicle insurance policy required.
• Must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment.
• Ability to follow healthcare universal precautions to reduce exposure to infectious diseases and radiation.
• Capable of serving as the primary resource for both scheduled and unscheduled clinical events, including occasional weekends, evenings, nights, and overnight travel.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal direction outside of clinical events.
• Willingness to attend national meetings, district meetings, and training sessions.
• Must be able to wear a 7–9 lb protective lead apron for extended periods in the operating room.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for 8 or more hours each day.
• Capability to bend, stoop, squat, and maintain balance frequently.
• Must possess close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Expected to drive approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory, which may include overnight travel.
• For degrees obtained outside the U.S., the bachelor's degree must comply with 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• RT and/or MRI certification is preferred.
• Prior experience with Image Guided Systems is preferred.
• Previous MRI experience is preferred.
• Operating room experience is preferred.
