This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Deliver clinical, technical, and product expertise support to current and prospective clients.
• Establish and nurture customer relationships while providing training across all levels.
• Coordinate and collaborate with NRCs and members of the Surgical Synergy team during customer installations.
• Act as a representative for Medtronic during technology-enabled procedures, offering technical assistance.
• Ensure optimal performance by maintaining system hardware and software.
• Execute software and hardware upgrades and carry out preventative maintenance tasks.
• Offer telephone clinical support, serving as the primary liaison for repair and technical issues.
• Monitor customer calls and issues, providing timely updates to district teams.
• Report complaints and collaborate with CSM/NRCs to facilitate resolutions.
• Document weekly site visits and customer interactions.
• Provide education and training to physicians and hospital staff on technical subjects.
• Act as a clinical resource for surgeons, clinicians, and trainees.
• Share customer tips, shortcuts, and recommendations.
• Engage in customer training for both internal and external partners.
• Train hospital personnel and members of the Surgical Synergy Clinical Support team.
• Identify potential new users for Navigation and Robotics.
• Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, conventions, and trade shows.
• Submit reports and information as instructed.
• Support advanced new image-guided products and applications.
• Work closely with the Surgical Synergy Region Manager and CSM on customer support priorities.
• Contribute insights on new product development based on field experience.
• Document both new and existing installations.
• Comply with company policies and conduct business ethically.
• Must live within the designated territory.
• High School Diploma or GED with at least 6 years of clinical, medical sales, or medical imaging/navigation/robotics experience; or an Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of such experience.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and an active vehicle insurance policy.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not provided for roles below Principal level.
• Capability to utilize healthcare universal precautions to mitigate exposure to infectious diseases and radiation.
• Ability to act as the main resource for scheduled and unscheduled clinical events, which may include periodic weekends, evenings, nights, and overnight travel.
• Competence to work efficiently and independently with minimal guidance outside of clinical events.
• Willingness to attend national meetings, district meetings, and training sessions.
• Capacity to wear a 7–9 lb protective lead apron for extended durations in the operating room.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Capability to sit, stand, and/or walk for over 8 hours per day.
• Ability to frequently bend/stoop, squat, and maintain balance.
• Good close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Willingness to drive approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory and undertake overnight travel as necessary.
• For degrees obtained outside the United States, the qualification must meet 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• RT and/or MRI certification is preferred.
• Previous experience with Image Guided Systems is preferred.
• Prior MRI experience is preferred.
• Experience in the operating room is preferred.
