Clinical Solutions Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact between clinical departments and technology vendors.

• Oversee vendor coordination, which includes managing contracts, product updates, issue escalation, and enhancement requests.

• Facilitate and guide the Solutions Council for designated clinical applications.

• Develop and uphold the Solutions Council Charter, RACI documentation, and support structure.

• Assess and prioritize enhancement requests, system modifications, and technology initiatives.

• Review and escalate vendor-supported activities, support issues, and opportunities for enhancements.

• Offer technical and clinical compliance expertise for governance decisions, application configuration, role design, and operational alignment.

• Provide advanced support and specialized knowledge for assigned clinical applications.

• Diagnose complex system issues and assess configuration or system concerns impacting clinical workflows.

• Assist in application optimization and organize training, workflow adoption, and end-user education requirements.

• Keep updated on clinical application configuration, integrations, role-based access models, and supported care delivery workflows.

• Serve as the technical steward for RBAC, IAM, user provisioning, and security role governance.

• Lead the planning, testing, and implementation of changes, upgrades, integrations, and new functionalities in clinical systems.

• Collaborate with the RN Clinical Trainer concerning changes that impact clinical workflows.

• Assess vendor and system performance and identify ways to enhance reliability, usability, integration, support effectiveness, and user experience.

• Function as the primary Enterprise Service Administrator for OCHIN Epic and assigned clinical applications.

• Act as both the technical owner and lead for application-related projects, initiatives, and enterprise workstreams.

• Coordinate and execute access reviews, permission audits, security assessments, and compliance activities.

• Work with Compliance, Privacy, Security, Human Resources, and operational leadership on access models, access issues, HIPAA, organizational, and regulatory requirements.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside within one hour of a Family Health Center location.

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field is required.

• Current clinical licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of clinical nursing practice is required.

• At least three years of Information Services experience (including EMR) supporting clinical solutions delivery, clinical application support, or related healthcare technology functions is necessary.

• Epic or OCHIN Epic certification, training, or hands-on experience supporting ambulatory, behavioral health, clinical application administration, security, access management, or related clinical systems is essential.

• A valid Wisconsin Driver's License is required, along with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) per FHC guidelines.

• Regular and reliable attendance is essential, along with adherence to scheduled work hours.
