Clinical Services RN Coach – IKC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Guide newly Registered Nurses through a comprehensive onboarding program during their initial 3 to 6 months.

• Provide continuous support, coaching, and mentorship to enhance confidence and promote retention.

• Act as a primary resource and role model demonstrating professional behavior.

• Reinforce clinical workflows, documentation standards, and escalation protocols.

• Create and present educational materials and training sessions centered on evidence-based care for CKD/ESKD.

• Employ simulation-based learning, case study analysis, teach-back techniques, and direct observation to cultivate new RNs’ clinical skills.

• Coach RNs on root cause analysis, symptom identification, and the development of patient-centered care plans.

• Manage and interpret clinical dashboards and performance evaluations.

• Monitor onboarding metrics, including clinical foundation assessments, teammate readiness, retention rates, and time-to-proficiency.

• Evaluate coaching progress using tools such as the RN Scorecard.

• Collaborate with Clinical Services Managers and the auditing team to identify learning gaps and formulate development plans.

• Partner with CSMs, Clinical Coaches, and IKC leaders to ensure a supportive onboarding experience.

• Promote communication between new RNs and pod members, including NPs, Care Coordinators, and nephrologists.

• Engage in interdisciplinary meetings to facilitate comprehensive care coordination.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

• Must possess an active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse is required.

• Strong background in managing patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and End-Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD).

• Experience in coaching, mentoring, precepting, or training clinical professionals is highly preferred.

• Experience in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment is essential.

• Strong understanding of CKD/ESKD disease processes and management of related co-morbidities.

• Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives and data-driven decision-making.

• Ability to deliver evidence-based recommendations and support clinical decision-making.

• Extensive knowledge of kidney disease, related co-morbidities, and current treatment guidelines.
