
Clinical Sales Specialist – Diagnostics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +4 more states.
• Lead efforts to drive revenue expansion, cultivate new business prospects, and foster enduring customer partnerships for clinical diagnostics products and services.
• Act as a reliable consultant to hospitals, reference labs, physician office labs, and other clients.
• Formulate and implement strategic territory and account plans aimed at achieving sales and revenue targets.
• Identify, assess, and nurture new business opportunities.
• Establish and uphold relationships with key customers and stakeholders throughout the sales process.
• Utilize a consultative selling approach to comprehend customer applications, laboratory processes, business objectives, and technical specifications.
• Recommend suitable products, services, and solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Oversee intricate sales opportunities from lead generation and qualification to negotiation, contracting, and closure.
• Create and negotiate proposals and agreements, including complex and multi-year opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal commercial, technical, service, marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Maintain precise sales pipeline records, account activities, customer details, and forecasts utilizing CRM and sales tracking tools.
• Evaluate territory performance, market trends, competitive actions, and customer behaviors.
• Conduct customer meetings, presentations, product discussions, and business reviews via in-person and virtual platforms.
• Enhance customer satisfaction and long-term account development through consistent communication and the coordination of internal resources.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
• A degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field is preferred.
• Over 5 years of sales experience in life sciences, laboratory diagnostics, healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
• Proven track record in lead generation, opportunity qualification, and new business development.
• Familiarity with CDMO services, laboratory products, or relevant technical solutions is advantageous.
• Demonstrated capability to maintain accurate sales forecasts and manage pipelines effectively.
• Strong business insight and the ability to comprehend complex customer requirements.
• Experience in managing customer relationships and advancing opportunities through a complex sales cycle.
• Ability to work effectively within collaborative, cross-functional, or matrixed organizations.
• Understanding of technical products, customer applications, and laboratory workflows.
• Exceptional consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Proficiency in communicating effectively with customers and internal stakeholders at various levels.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including market analysis, sales performance tracking, forecasting, and pipeline management.
• Knowledge of relevant product, technical, and regulatory aspects.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with CRM platforms, sales tracking tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to independently manage a geographically dispersed sales territory and prioritize multiple customer and business demands.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50–75% within the assigned territory.
• Candidates should reside within the territory with reasonable access to a major airport, preferably Boston.
