This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Expand sales revenue and testing volume within the New York region by creating new hospital partnerships and enhancing volume in current hospitals.
• Present Karius’ innovative next-generation sequencing diagnostic technology to hospital stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams in Inside Sales, Customer Success, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, and Product leadership.
• Cultivate thought leaders and early adopters for Karius’ approach to infectious disease diagnostics.
• Establish, manage, and nurture relationships with hospital and health system accounts.
• Prioritize and categorize accounts to optimize opportunities for growth.
• Demonstrate product features and advantages using consultative sales strategies, oversee evaluations, and promote adoption and usage.
• Act as a subject matter expert on the science and technology behind the Karius test.
• Foster relationships, educate stakeholders, and build consensus among both potential and existing partners.
• Showcase return on investment while conducting regular account interactions and utilization reviews.
• Secure contracts, agreements, and renewals.
• Provide market insights to Sales, Marketing, and Product leadership.
• Collaborate with Clinical/Medical Affairs teams and Medical Science Liaisons for remote and in-person partner engagements.
• Work with Customer Success to onboard accounts, mitigate risks and concerns, manage expectations, and maintain partner health.
• Partner with Marketing on regional events, KOL panels, and local market initiatives.
• Engage in sales meetings, training sessions, conventions, and industry trade shows.
• Complete documentation in Salesforce, expense reports, speaker program details, and other administrative tasks.
• Bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
• 5 years of experience in sales/business development within Life Sciences, Biotech, Medical Device, Diagnostic Equipment, and/or Pharmaceutical sectors.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Proven success in introducing transformative, novel products or services to physicians and hospitals that have positively influenced clinical practice.
• A strong network of connections within hospitals and health systems, including microbiology labs, send-out labs, physician groups, C-level executives, and clinical administrators.
• Strong vision and planning skills to develop the territory further.
• Exceptional business acumen, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to forge relationships with C-level executives, physicians, and lab directors.
• A demonstrated history of top sales performance and achieving or surpassing sales targets.
• Experience in managing multi-level accounts.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with multitasking in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, take ownership, and deliver results.
• Strong presentation and negotiation capabilities.
• Skill in facilitating engaging discussions with both small and large groups.
• High standards of ethics, integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to foster trusted professional relationships.
