Clinical Quality – Training Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Oversee the onboarding and training process for newly recruited clinical providers.

• Provide training on clinical policies and procedures, documentation standards, electronic health record workflows, risk management, and evidence-based care methodologies.

• Create and update training materials, reference guides, and educational aids.

• Deliver continuous coaching and assistance to clinicians during their onboarding phase and initial employment period.

• Collaborate with clinical leadership to determine training requirements and execute targeted educational initiatives.

• Perform clinical chart audits to evaluate documentation quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to organizational standards.

• Recognize trends, risks, and areas for improvement through quality reviews and audit results.

• Offer feedback and recommendations to foster provider development and enhance performance.

• Engage in quality improvement projects aimed at clinical performance, documentation quality, compliance, and patient outcomes.

• Act as a clinical resource for documentation, treatment planning, clinical workflows, and evidence-based practices.

• Assist in preparing for organizational audits and in the development of clinical policies and procedures.

• Maintain a reduced patient caseload while providing behavioral health services that align with organizational and regulatory standards.

• Monitor and report on quality assurance findings, training participation, and compliance trends.

• Take part in departmental initiatives and special projects related to clinical operations, provider development, and quality enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health discipline.

• Active and unrestricted independent clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, or an equivalent qualification).

• A minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience post-licensure.

• Proven experience providing psychotherapy and behavioral health services.

• Strong understanding of clinical documentation standards, evidence-based practices, and behavioral health regulatory requirements.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication, training, facilitation, and presentation skills.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to effectively manage clinical, training, quality, and administrative tasks simultaneously.

• Availability to work a full-time schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

• Preferred: Experience with provider onboarding, clinical training, supervision, coaching, or professional development.

• Preferred: Experience conducting clinical chart audits, quality assurance assessments, or compliance monitoring.

• Preferred: Experience in developing clinical training materials and educational resources.

• Preferred: Experience in a telehealth or telebehavioral health setting.

• Preferred: Understanding of value-based care and clinical quality measurement initiatives.

• Preferred: Experience supporting quality or performance improvement efforts.
