Clinical Product Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of clinical requirements for identifying and managing patient risks across various platforms, including the patient portal, support chat, phone interactions, clinical assessments, conversational intake, and other areas.

• Propel a unified severity taxonomy and routing strategy.

• Act as the Clinical Product Patient Safety representative for features that disclose risk.

• Establish safety requirements and protective measures, integrate products into existing escalation frameworks, and identify potential failure points through red-team assessments.

• Assess safeguard effectiveness following product launch.

• Conduct audits on product surfaces to identify patient safety gaps and work collaboratively with clinical and cross-functional teams to address them.

• Uphold the clinical safety and quality standards for AI applications, including AI-generated clinical notes, treatment planning, and conversational tools.

• Develop rubrics, label gold-standard model cases, and evaluate model outputs against clinical assessments.

• Address questions regarding risk ownership and ensure that policies and platform decisions are accurately represented.

• Convey clinical trade-offs to non-clinical stakeholders and advocate for sound clinical judgment when product or technical decisions are at odds.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be an independently licensed therapist (LPC, LCSW, PhD, or PsyD).

• At least 3 years of post-graduate clinical experience is required.

• Previous experience within a safety or quality system is essential.

• Must have confidence in risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis intervention.

• Ability to comprehend and integrate disparate escalation paths into a cohesive model.

• Proficient in collaborating across functions with engineers, product partners, and operational teams.

• Capable of translating clinical concepts into clear criteria for labeling, evaluation, and product development.

• Familiarity with AI model evaluation metrics, including precision, recall, and false positive rates.

• Versatile in handling quality, safety, and product AI initiatives.

• Authorization to work in the United States for any employer is required.
