Clinical Pharmacy Specialist – Solid Organ Transplant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer consultative support to physicians, nurses, and other members of the Solid Organ Transplant Team.

• Advise physicians on suitable therapeutic options.

• Oversee drug therapy management.

• Provide drug-related information to professional staff as needed across pre-transplant, inpatient transplant, and post-transplant care.

• Supervise patient care activities, ensuring accurate record-keeping and optimizing medication therapies to enhance treatment outcomes.

• Manage task prioritization, adapt to changes in practice, and tackle daily operational challenges.

• Comply with pharmacy laws, regulations, and institutional policies.

• Deliver training and guidance to staff members and pharmacy students.

• Engage in process improvement, policy updates, or research initiatives.

• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Successful completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency and/or a BS Pharmacy Degree along with 3 years of experience as a clinical pharmacy specialist with direct patient care duties.

• Possession of a valid Registered Pharmacist certification from the State of Arkansas or eligibility for licensure.

• ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in Solid Organ Transplant is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist in a solid organ transplant environment is preferred.

• Board certification is desirable and must be obtained within 3 years of hire.

• Must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

• Annual TB screening, criminal background check, and substance abuse testing required.
