This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee and mentor Enabling Technologies Clinical Consultant personnel through site visits, meetings, and direct discussions.

• Manage clinical support performance for Robotic Assisted Surgery platforms and Neurosurgery product lines.

• Ensure effective scheduling for district case coverage and service tasks.

• Coordinate both sales and clinical initiatives across the district.

• Organize clinical-event resources in collaboration with the Enabling Technologies District Manager.

• Establish objectives and assess, document, and enhance the performance of direct reports.

• Communicate and reinforce Medtronic’s Mission, strategies, initiatives, goals, and activities.

• Execute strategies aimed at achieving both short- and long-term clinical business objectives.

• Inspire and guide employees to meet clinical objectives.

• Provide constructive feedback, coaching, development discussions, and corrective measures.

• Document field visits and uphold policies and standards of business conduct.

• Supervise the training and development of Clinical Consultants in product knowledge and competitive intelligence.

• Mentor employees on collaboration, time management, task prioritization, and career progression.

• Assist with the creation of Individual Development Plans.

• Identify and address clinical opportunities through analytics, field visits, coaching, and measurable projects.

• Directly manage assets, expenditures, and budgets.

• Perform administrative tasks related to cost centers, expenses, emails, and more.

• Ensure understanding and compliance with quality systems.

• Collaborate with the District Manager and HR to recruit and hire candidates.

• Maintain a diverse pool of candidates for future recruitment.

• Provide clinical case, customer, and patient support while fostering collaboration across districts and regions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; or an Advanced Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

• A minimum of 1 year of directly relevant experience with Medtronic is preferred.

• Prior experience at the Clinical Specialist level or higher is preferred.

• Previous experience in people management is preferred.

• Knowledge of clinical coverage requirements is preferred.

• Additional experience in the medical device industry in sales, marketing, training, healthcare, technical services, engineering, or related fields is preferred.

• A proven career history demonstrating promotions, tenure, and increasing responsibilities is preferred.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and processes is preferred.

• Proven skills in change leadership are preferred.

• Demonstrated business acumen is preferred.

• A valid driver’s license and an active vehicle insurance policy are required.

• Driving records will be evaluated.

• Ability to drive approximately 50% of the time within the assigned territory and undertake possible overnight travel is required.

• Capability to travel by air, car, or other means is necessary.

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally is required.

• Specific visual abilities for close and distant vision are necessary.

• For foreign-earned baccalaureate degrees, a degree that meets the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for roles below Principal level.
