Clinical Interviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct structured clinical interviews at a high volume with candidates for behavioral health clinician positions.

• Evaluate clinical reasoning, diagnostic strategies, treatment planning, risk assessment, ethical decision-making, communication skills, cultural responsiveness, and approaches to patient care.

• Utilize case-based and scenario-based inquiries to assess the application of clinical knowledge.

• Measure candidates against standardized scorecards specific to their roles and provide evidence-based hiring recommendations.

• Implement appropriate clinical standards across varying disciplines, experience levels, and stages in their careers.

• Determine the ability to manage complex cases, identify risks, exercise sound clinical judgment, and aid in the development of other clinicians when applicable.

• Recognize clinical strengths, concerns, and areas needing further evaluation.

• Thoroughly and promptly document interview findings.

• Collaborate with the Clinical Director to align interviewing standards and ensure consistency.

• Work alongside Clinical Talent Recruiters to provide a swift, thoughtful, and high-quality candidate experience.

• Create and enhance clinical interview questions, case scenarios, scorecards, and hiring criteria.

• Analyze hiring and interview results to refine the clinician selection process.

• Support supplementary clinical talent assessment and quality initiatives as Third Space expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active, unrestricted independent behavioral health license in good standing in at least one U.S. state, such as LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LPC, LPCC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, or an equivalent license.

• Have a minimum of 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience in behavioral health.

• Demonstrate strong clinical judgment in diagnosis, treatment planning, evidence-based care, risk assessment, ethical practices, and professional boundaries.

• Experience in supervising, training, interviewing, mentoring, or evaluating other clinicians is required.

• Ability to differentiate between effective interviewing and sound clinical judgment.

• Exceptional verbal communication and active listening abilities.

• Capable of making clear, objective, and consistent decisions.

• Strong written communication skills and the ability to document the rationale behind hiring recommendations.

• Comfortable conducting multiple video interviews daily.

• Strong knowledge of culturally responsive and patient-centered behavioral health care.

• Ability to thrive in a rapidly growing environment with fluctuating hiring volumes and priorities.

• Strongly preferred: previous experience as a Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Manager, Clinical Quality Specialist, or Clinical Training Lead.

• Strongly preferred: background in interviewing or hiring behavioral health clinicians.

• Strongly preferred: experience working with early-career clinicians.

• Strongly preferred: experience in Medicaid, community mental health, safety-net healthcare, or other settings serving complex patient populations.

• Strongly preferred: experience providing telehealth behavioral health services.

• Strongly preferred: familiarity with various behavioral health disciplines, including social work, professional counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, and psychiatry.

• Strongly preferred: experience in developing structured clinical interview rubrics or competency assessments.
