Clinical Informatics Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy IT and Clinical Informatics teams to select, implement, and assess automated technologies and the computerization of pharmacy-related patient care activities, including decision support systems.

• Coordinate the delivery of medications and pharmaceutical care with external departments.

• Develop, implement, integrate, and maintain pharmacy automation and technology solutions.

• Ensure proper testing of integrated applications.

• Assess and test system upgrades, new functionalities, and changes related to pharmacy practice programs.

• Facilitate the resolution of issues concerning pharmacy technology, decision support, and database management.

• Provide in-service education on pharmacy technology for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and staff from external departments.

• Assist with workflow analysis and training during the launch of new EMR systems.

• Troubleshoot charge discrepancies in Siemens or Epic for Revenue Cycle and Revenue Management.

• Update the Charge Description Master for medications, which includes descriptions, coding, and associated charges.

• Assist the 340b Director with charge and dispense information transmitted to the 340b accumulator from electronic systems.

• Carry out work predominantly in a clinical setting while adhering to organizational policies and job-specific requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (mandatory).

• At least 4 years of relevant work experience (mandatory).

• Licensed Pharmacist.

• Availability to work during the day.

• Capable of working 40 scheduled hours weekly.

• Strong teamwork skills.

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Science (preferred).
