Clinical Informatics Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Partner with inpatient and outpatient pharmacy IT and Clinical Informatics to choose, implement, and assess automated technologies and computerization of pharmacy-related patient care functions, including decision support.

• Coordinate the delivery of medications and pharmaceutical care with external departments.

• Design, implement, integrate, and sustain pharmacy automation and technological solutions.

• Ensure the safe and appropriate use of medications.

• Test integrated applications.

• Assess and test system upgrades, new functionalities, and changes related to pharmacy practice programs.

• Facilitate the resolution of issues concerning pharmacy technology, decision support, and database management.

• Provide educational in-service training on pharmacy technology for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and staff from external departments.

• Assist in workflow analysis and training during the implementation of new EMR systems.

• Resolve charge discrepancies in Siemens or Epic for Revenue Cycle and Revenue Management.

• Update the Charge Description Master for medications, which includes descriptions, coding, and charges.

• Assist the 340b Director with charge and dispense information transmitted from electronic systems to the 340b accumulator.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Required).

• At least 4 years of relevant work experience (Required).

• Licensed Pharmacist.

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Information Science (Preferred).

• Strong teamwork skills.

• Availability to work day shifts.

• Commitment to a 40-hour work week.
