Clinical Educator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Assess clinical compliance and quality throughout clinical operations.

• Supervise and coordinate local orientation for clinical team members.

• Create and manage ongoing continuing education training programs.

• Develop scenario-based and clinical content for new hires and returning clinical staff.

• Provide mentorship to clinicians involved in clinical education plans.

• Organize accreditation and reaccreditation efforts.

• Engage in air medical research activities.

• Direct the orientation of new employees, including scheduling, base assignments, and the creation of area-specific protocols.

• Collaborate with RCEM and RCD to enhance clinical preceptorship and regional educational resources.

• Instruct in simulation labs, invasive labs, and advanced learning technology programs.

• Drive content creation and continuing education initiatives.

• Design educational programming, policies, procedures, and simulation scenarios.

• Assess clinical performance utilizing evidence-based assessment frameworks and statistical methods.

• Identify regional educational needs.

• Oversee annual competency training, protocol evaluations, and initial training for new equipment and procedures.

• Assist in the development of medical standards and guidelines.

• Act as a clinical expert and participate in committees and workgroups.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN); along with five or more years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 4 years of flight experience is required.

• At least 2 years of experience as an educator or instructor.

• Flight Nurse or Flight Paramedic specialty certification (CAMTS compliant) is required.

• CFRN or FP-C certification is mandatory.

• At least 1 current instructor card (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, PHTLS, ITLS, TNCC, TNATC).

• Must achieve instructor status for all AHA-required courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS) within 3 months of hiring.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

• Experience in high-fidelity simulation is preferred.

• Clinical expertise in one or more specialty areas.

• Capability to participate in and rotate as administrator on call for specialized equipment and high-risk patient populations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Familiarity with Smartsheet or other SaaS applications.

• Regular attendance is expected.

• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including some Saturdays.
