Clinical Business Analyst – Patient Access

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in the implementation of a large-scale Clinical Information System (CIS) within the Canadian healthcare landscape.

• Collaborate closely with clinical stakeholders, healthcare providers, subject matter experts, project teams, and technical teams.

• Collect requirements and analyze healthcare workflows.

• Establish clinical standards.

• Aid in the implementation and validation of CIS solutions.

• Conduct workshops with healthcare providers to uncover business requirements, system requirements, user stories, and use cases.

• Work in partnership with Clinical SMEs, healthcare providers, project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders.

• Oversee multiple project streams and activities concurrently.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience.

• Over 5 years of experience as a Clinical Business Analyst, Clinical Informatics Analyst, or a similar role.

• More than 5 years of experience with Patient Access, Registration, and Scheduling processes.

• Significant experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, use-case analysis, workshop facilitation, detailed solution/design activities, and business analysis documentation.

• At least 5 years of experience with acute-care healthcare information systems such as EHR/CIS.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience supporting healthcare information system/CIS implementation projects.

• Proven experience working within a Canadian acute-care healthcare setting.

• Specific experience related to Patient Access / Registration / Scheduling in a healthcare context.

• Must be available to commence work around October 12, 2026, or sooner if feasible.

• Must be prepared and able to travel to New Brunswick at least once a month.

• Preferred: Over 6 years of Clinical Business Analyst experience involving Patient Access, Registration, and Scheduling.

• Familiarity with one or more of CPOE, Order Sets, Clinical Documentation, Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, or Laboratory.

• Experience leading workshops with healthcare providers to identify business requirements, system requirements, user stories, and use cases.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.

• Capability to manage multiple project streams and activities simultaneously.

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and Teams.

• Experience with Atlassian JIRA in a project environment.

• Previous experience collaborating with public health authorities.
