This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Facilitate strategic business growth and collaborative opportunities with prominent U.S. cancer centers, clinics, large oncology practices, KOLs, and AMCs within the designated region.
• Develop strategic plans aimed at acquiring and retaining both new and existing clients.
• Optimize client-billing contracting possibilities.
• Execute laboratory services agreements with billing account institutions.
• Collaborate with various sales roles across the organization to fulfill company objectives.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships between potential oncology clients and Tempus.
• Advocate for and enhance compliance with web-based molecular information tools.
• Evaluate the competitive landscape and assigned accounts to identify trends and provide customer insights.
• Track sales performance in relation to set objectives.
• Create and implement a detailed territory business plan, encompassing budgets, travel, territory management, and goal setting.
• Work efficiently across multiple departments.
• Represent the Tempus company culture to both external and internal stakeholders.
• Capability to deliver integrated MolDx/SaaS solutions utilizing sequencing technology.
• Consultative selling expertise with the ability to address objections effectively.
• Proven experience in selling at the executive level.
• Knowledge of oncology and the diagnostic payer and reimbursement landscapes.
• Ability to operate independently, communicate proactively, manage several projects, prioritize tasks, and adhere to deadlines.
• Strong understanding of molecular diagnostics in oncology and its competitive environment.
• In-depth market, customer, distribution, and product knowledge.
• Familiarity with oncology, hematology, chemotherapeutics, and targeted agents.
• Exceptional negotiation and customer service abilities.
• Strategic skills in sales account planning.
• Proficient listening and problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Proven track record of closing sales throughout the sales cycle.
• Positive mindset and an understanding of organizational growth and transformation.
• Strong oral, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Regular and effective use of Salesforce.com.
• Ability to foster cross-functional relationships.
• Advanced presentation capabilities and business acumen.
• Ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision.
• Proficient problem-solving, decision-making, and technical learning abilities.
• Strong administrative skills and sophistication in navigating complex business environments.
• Willingness to travel frequently, exceeding 50% of the time within the territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in life science, biology, business, or marketing; an MBA is preferred.
• 2–3 years of direct account management experience in a molecular diagnostic context, with a proven track record.
• 3–5 years of experience collaborating with major cancer centers and clinics, oncology GPOs, large health systems, IHDNs, and substantial oncology practices.
• Demonstrated success in generating measurable revenue at a diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or relevant biotechnology company.
